Transfiguration class had just ended and Orion sauntered into the courtyard located in the department, a place were many loitered when they had a free period after class. The sixteen year old was no different in this case but for his own reasons. Orion people watched as a past time, and he found you could find out a lot about a person just by watching them. It was a talent of his, so to speak, and it was why he generally had enough to say to carry a conversation with someone. Not that he did that often.

Orion felt that most of the people here were beneath him, if not all of them. Hardly anyone was worth his time. His house mates were all in an uproar with the escalating rivalry that seemed to have stirred up between Parkinson, long time self proclaimed Slytherin princess, and the newest addition to their house. One Skyler Riddle. He had yet to speak to the ladder, but knew she was off limits in any way if Malfoy had anything to say about it. That was all fine and dandy for the moment but he would keep on eye and ear out. If she proved to be what some were saying she was, she could be quite the crowning jewel.

Parkinson on the other hand, was a handful too much and a couple sandwiches short of a picnic in Orion's opinion. Personally he thought Malfoy had it coming for how he had led the girl on but either way it wasn't his problem so he wouldn't be wasting any breath on it. Instead, Orion planted himself in his immaculate robes on a bench, lounging back against the back of it casually with his arms spread across the top as he smirked lazily, enjoying his little time before his next class. Until someone blocked his line of sight. His lazy smirk didn't change but his gaze became unreadable as did his face. "May I help you with something or have you forgotten that you are not made of glass?"

Evangeline wasn't particularly interested in this Transfiguration lesson. Her days had been quite boring, and all she did was read.Thankfully, she hadn't stumbled upon her brother, which was a good thing.Who wanted to fight a Slytherin Seventh Year, like her brother? The first person he would kill was her,and she could bet on that.So staying away was the smartest thing, until she had enough power to beat him down. Not that she wasn't powerful already, but she wanted her brother to pay,in one way or another. And it would be bad.Really bad,if she said so.

So as soon as the class was over,Eva looked at her schedule, only to see that she had a free period, before double potions.Guess she could just relax before her next lesson. She looked around to see if anyone was there she could talk to,but seemingly, everyone had disappeared.
Ginny must have left with Riley off to Merlin knows where, while Skyler and Draco should be away being the cute couple they were, leaving Eva alone with her books again.
It sometimes got on her nerves how they would always tell her she should chill out and have fun,but they always disappeared afterwards. It was just...not fair.

Grabbing the latest book she had borrowed out of the Library,Eva flipped it open and scanned through the pages as she made her way out of the class and towards the Courtyard next to it.It would be the best place for her to relax, since she everyone was away.Hopefully,no one would bother her there.Though as she kept walking, her eyes landed upon something quite interesting about a creature, and she stopped in her tracks, reading more of the information given, not understanding she was blocking someone's view.Until that someone spoke up.

Straddled,Eva let out a small yelp and her book fell right out of her hands, landing on the cold stone at her feet, while her eyes searched for the source of the voice. Her eyes soon landed on a guy,not much older than her from what it seemed, who was relaxing.Or well,he was until she blocked his sight.Looking at him from head to toe,Eva smirked when she saw he was a Slytherin. She seemed to be stumbling upon snakes a lot recently.
"Help me?Oh no,I am fine."
Ignoring his other question,Eva stood there, not moving an inch. She knew that she would probably get on the guy's nerves, but she liked risk and danger, and what was better than mess with a snake...

Orion arched a brow, looking the girl up and down, his blue eyes raking over her form, showing neither distaste or appreciation. A mocking smile curled around his lips when his eyes made their way back to hers, focusing on her brown ones. "Oh well, as long as you're fine then." He replied, not hiding the way his words dripped with sarcasm and disdain.

He kept his relaxed state, no part of his own tall and lean form looking the least bit uncomfortable or out of place. He might have picked up her book, that's what a gentleman would do. But Orion wasn't a gentleman. He was a right bastard to those he deemed beneath him. And since he considered nearly everyone beneath him...

"Must just be that you forgot you weren't made of glass then." He added on cooly. "Though I wouldn't expect much more from the likes of you."

Evangeline wanted to laugh. The way his eyes followed every inch of her with not so much of a feeling wanted to make Eva smirk. She knew that she had certainly not got his attention in a romantic way,and she really didn't expect neither wanted to do so.She could never imagine herself with a Slytherin, after all. They were all self-centered bastards, who thought they were better than anyone else in this world, and didn't even give people a chance to show them what they had.Either they were purebloods,or not.Well, everyone except Draco and Skyler. They were the only Slytherins Eva felt good hanging out with.

Though when his eyes focused on hers,Eva turned her body towards him, staring right back.It felt as if a little challenge was going on between them, and Evangeline was not one to lose to a Slytherin.Especially a non-mannered one.His sarcasm made her smirk darkly, while his sarcasm made her look exactly what he was thought to be.A venomous, deadly, snake. But the Eva was not one afraid of snakes."That's so sweet of you,"she said, her own words dripping with sarcasm.

As he kept quiet,Eva took the chance to take her eyes off of him for a while, kneeling down and grabbing her book, before regaining her posture. She brushed off her robes and stood there, book in hand, smiling coldly at the guy.
She couldn't lie.He was quite...charming,she could say,but beauty came from within, and that man had surely no beauty in there. It reminded her more of a marsh. And even that was quite of a compliment for him.

"I don't think anyone's made of glass yet, little snake.Except if your brain's the first thing made out of it.."
Eva crossed her arms quite again, biting her lip.She didn't know how far she should take it,but by the looks of it,she might have to stop this before it went out of hand.
"And what do I have not that you're seeking exactly?Oh let me see, yes!I have everything you'd want, and even more, but that's too much for you to handle, right?"
Smirking Eva inched a little closer to him and shook her head as if she was pitying him.
"Shame your standards are too low..maybe we would be able to find a solution,if you had better taste.."

A slow smirk unfurled on his lips as a malicious glint entered his blue eyes. Orion kept his eyes locked with hers as he slowly removed himself from his casual position, getting to his feet. He approached her slowly, like a predator stalking it's prey. "Ah, yes." He started in a low tone. "Of course you're right." The Slytherin began to circle her slowly, never drifting more than an inch or two from her body, and ran a single finger along her arm in a soft, slow caress as he did. "You would be too much for me to handle." He had brought his lips next to her ear, speaking lowly into it. "Your virginal self must be much too much for me."

Orion let those words ring in her ear, a silence building between them and then he backed away just as slowly as he had stalked her, his predatory smirk still on his lip as his eyes laughed at her. "You really shouldn't assume things you have no way of knowing about." He advised her in a superior tone. The Ravenclaw might think she was the cream of the crop, but from where Orion stood she was far from it, and he had no problem letting her know it while playing on it as well.

Evangeline was studying the Slytherin's reactions. He was so confusing. She expected him to be angry at her,yet here he was, smirking at her.No yelling, cursing or threatening.Just smirking. And that made Eva extremely nervous. That boy was up to something, and that something wasn't good.
The way his eyes were glued to hers meant certain danger, but Evangeline was too stubborn to back out of the trap. And when he finally moved,Eva was helpless. Her feet wouldn't move,as if his blue orbs held her in place. There had to be a way to get out of this,somehow..

But before she had a chance to move,he had already approached her, standing now too close, for her own liking. She didn't get him. What was he trying to achieve?Allure her and make her his obedient dog?Because that certainly wasn't going to happen. But the way he talked,he moved, the way he touched her, even that small soft caress gave her goosebumps, and a thrilling feeling. Her heart sped up.She could practically hear it,and she was almost sure he could hear it too.Especially when he stood that close. But he,of course, didn't stop to a few words and a soft touch. His plan wasn't done yet.

She could feel his breath on her neck.He was close. As close as no one had ever been, and that scared her.Soon, his lips were right by her ear,and Eva felt her knees weaken. She bit her lip and clenched her fists, trying to take a hold of herself. This wasn't her.She had never truly been that affected by someone, and she certainly didn't want to be affected by him.Being attached to a snake wasn't a smart move. But for a slight second, she wanted to let free. She wanted just to be crazy and let him affect her.She wanted to try.But then,he had to open his mouth again, and when the words came out of them, the book fell from her hands once again.
There was a silence. No one dared to talk for a while, and Eva didn't want to speak because she simply didn't trust her voice. The tension was building around them.

It seemed as if an eternity until he backed away from her. That smirk was in place again, while his eyes had something dark in them.He was making fun of her.He looked at her as if she was trash. As if she was a slave, and he was the mighty King she served. And that made Eva's anger boil even more."There is no way for you to know whether I am a virgin,or not, little snake. And there won't be a way for you to know.So keep your thought to yourself. It would be better if you shut that mouth of yours."
Clearing her throat, she tried to calm her beating heart down, before smiling fakely up at him.He happened to be taller than her as well."You're right.I shouldn't assume things..but you've just proven to me,yourself, how right I was."

Clenching her teeth,Eva walked forward and pushed him down on the bench with a cold look. She wasn't afraid to play dirty if that was what he wanted.
"You are just a little bastard with no life. You have nothing interesting in your life,so you like to mess with others'.Well guess what.I am not like the others. You started a fight, you're going to have it."
Taking a couple of steps back,Eva bent and grabbed her book, before smirking towards the boy.
"Evangeline Faye.Remember that name.Or I will make sure it doesn't leave your mind.Ever.Again."

Orion could only smirk more at her reactions. He wasn't phased by her mood swing or obvious anger, though he could tell he had made her nervous. And she should be. He couldn't help but laugh coldly at her in mock amusement when she came back with those pathetic words. Did she really think she fooled anyone? His smirk only grew and widened into a grin that held no warmth or good intentions as it showed his gleaming, white teeth when she pushed him onto the bench.

"Don't worry Faye. I won't be forgetting your name. But not for the reasons you think." He found her quite the source of amusement, especially how she thought she had hit the nail on the head with her predictions of what kind of person he was. His gaze was filled with cruel intentions as he looked at her. "And since you're so smart, can't you think of any reason as to why I would know for a fact that you are a virgin?"

Orion didn't bother addressing any of the other things she mentioned. For one, he didn't care one wink about how she thought of him. Two, he definitely was not afraid of her in the least. And third, he just simply couldn't be bothered to want to invite her to speak more than he wanted to listen. If she wasn't going to talk about anything he felt like paying attention to, then he would prefer she didn't speak at all. She only made herself sound more and more stupid the more she spoke anyways.

Evangeline was boiling with anger. She tried staying calm. She tried reasoning with him,She tried threatening him.She even tried befriending him,yet he didn't like any of it.He thought that due to his House and blood,he had the upper hand in this little discussion, but the only thing he really knew, was how to be a total jerk. The fact that he knew she was a virgin though, made her even more angry. How could he really know? Was he a seer?Or was he that good at Occlumency?
The tone he was using, made him seem even more stupid that he already acted like.
"What I am is none of your business, snake!"

Growling, she took a few steps back, not wanting to be close to him,as if he had a decease.Maybe he did have one."The fact that I am smart can't be decided by you.And you don't know I am a virgin, sweetheart. You guess, and know by the reaction you get from each person.I've met people like you..you are just like my brother. No wonder he belongs in Slytherin.."
Evangeline didn't feel comfortable talking about her family, but when it came down to this, the similarities were amazing. It felt as if her brother's intentions were following her.As if he was using someone to torment her when he couldn't.
"All I want is for you to stay away from me..You don't know me...You never will...But it's not like you care.."

Shrugging, she gave him a cold look. She knew that this wasn't over.In fact,it was just the start of a war between them. And everything was allowed in love and war.Thankfully for them, love was not to be questioned in this..relationship.War was the main theme.
"We'll meet again..sooner than you think.."
Smirking,Eva let out a cruel laugh."And I will feel so good, when I'll see you crawling at my feet.Like the snake you are.Because one day..you will crawl to me.."

Orion couldn't do anything but smirk as he gazed at her cooly, watching as her temper flared and anger mounted. He was sure that at any moment she would explode, and the fireworks would be a great display. He was sorely disappointed however.

A cruel laugh ripped from his throat, and the sound of it was as cold as ice. Rising to his feet, Orion knew that by now his next class would be starting soon and he should probably take his leave before ended up doing something she would regret. After all, she was already doing enough.

Grabbing his bag he hoisted it casually yet gracefully over his shoulder, and looked at her in scornful amusement. "I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you Faye." With that, she sauntered off to his next class, leaving the fuming ravenclaw behind.
