You Give Love A Bad Name (Sky) Empty
PostSubject: You Give Love A Bad Name (Sky)   You Give Love A Bad Name (Sky) Icon_minitimeSat Mar 01, 2014 4:04 pm

It had been one hell of a week, and he was quick to want to escape it, and it wasn't even over.  Wednesday, at least it was his favorite day of the week and his favorite meal, dinner.   All he had to do was make it through the meal without punching someone in the face.  Stress was running high and for the first time in a long time he was actually letting it get to him.

The meeting with Sky had never happened, as later that day he had ran into Orion at the owlery and it had spooked him.  The boy had hit a little too close to home for his comfort and ever since then he had been avoiding Riddle like the plague and so far it had been easy enough.  With the drama of her breaking up with his cousin and then turning to Potter it had put his head in a spin.  Not that he ever thought he stood a chance in hell with her it still hurt his pride, even though it had no reason to.

But now that the quidditch game had come and gone he was finding it harder and harder to avoid her.  He was already ducking out on meals early, or skipping them all together.  He was sick of starving though and he was finally glad to sit down and enjoy a meal.  It however was short-lived as he saw Sky looking in his directon. She motioned for him to come down and finishing his glass of juice he shook his head.  It seemed however she wasn't taking no for an answer and she pushed up and started towards him.

As quickly as he could he pushed up off of the bench and headed towards the door.  He wasn't in the mood to talk to her.  After being chewed out in potions for melting a cauldron, something he hadn't done since first year all he wanted to do was bang out his frustrations.  So ducking across the hall he headed up the stairs towards the music room figuring she wouldn't follow him.  Oh how wrong he was.  He could hear her voice echoing up the stairs behind him but he had no plans of stopping.

Finally he reached the music room, walking in and shutting the door.  Kicking off his shoes near the door he headed across the room grabbing a pair of sticks off of the shelf and immediately sat down and started to hit the drums.  Maybe if she walked in he could just pretend that she didn't exist.  Because that wouldn't be weird at all right, or obvious.

Skyler hadn't thought too much on it when Luca was suddenly not anywhere to be found for nearly a week since their conversation over breakfast. The brunette was hurt he had ditched her on their meeting, where he had promised to teach her, or try to anyways, how to play the drums. She had been excited for the meeting, and to simply spend time with the older boy. The teen really did genuinely like Luca. He was laid back, and rather kind hearted, something one didn't expect to find in a pit of snakes.

So when she had spent over an hour waiting for him to show up in the music room as they had planned only to leave disappointed and disheartened, she tried to shrug it off. Maybe something important had come up for him, or maybe he had landed himself in detention or something or other. Sky didn't really want to jump to the conclusion that the older Slytherin was actively avoiding her.

Over the next few days, she had noted his absence at meals, or really, at anything that might involve herself being around. But again, the brunette refused to consider that he was avoiding her for some reason. The only real reason she could come up with for his absence though was that maybe his date they had discussed had turned out well enough that he was meeting up with someone all over the castle. It would make sense, especially if that someone was in another house.

Any hopes that that might be the deal were crushed on Wednesday evening, when he practically ran away from her. Shoving away the surprise and hurt she felt at his actions, a determined look sparked in her purple eyes and the Slytherin took off after him. Unfortunately, Luca was taller, which meant about two of his strides were like one of hers. The brunette called after him but he wouldn't stop. The stubborn witch gritted her teeth and didn't stop either. One or another she was going to find out just what the hell was going on with that boy.

Luckily, Skyler was quick, and her body conditioned from years of Quidditch that even though he had a good start on her, she could keep up enough to follow him. To the music room. She skidded to a halt at the end of the corridor, catching her breath as she heard the door close. Hopefully he hadn't locked it, because the brunette really didn't want to sit outside the damn door in this particular corridor for hours until he decided to come back out. She would, of course, but she really, really, hated this corridor.

Still panting slightly, her cheeks pink from the race there, and violet eyes brighter than normal from the exertion, the Prefect strutted down the corridor and grabbed hold of the door handle, giving it a hesitant push. Finding it unlocked, she sighed. Finally. A bit of luck that wasn't bad. Without hesitation the girl pushed the door open, strutting forward into the room and allowing it to close behind her.

Her gaze immediately found Luca, already banging on the drum set in the room. Flicking her wand with ease, she summoned the damn sticks he was using and caught them easily in her open and waiting hand, arching a brow at the older boy. "You know, if you want to avoid me, or have nothing to do with me, all you have to do is say so." Sky spoke quietly, her soft tone laced with the hurt that was clear in her bright, vivid eyes. She didn't want to lose the boy as a friend, but neither would she force a friendship he didn't want on him.

PostSubject: Re: You Give Love A Bad Name (Sky)   You Give Love A Bad Name (Sky) Icon_minitimeTue Mar 04, 2014 10:14 am

Luca tried to lose himself in the music as quick as possible but it was next to impossible to do so. The thought of those violet eyes plagued him and he cursed her for having any effect on him whatsoever. He did not need this, not now, not with every thing he needed to accomplish this year. He was half tempted at this point to see if there was any way he could take the dark mark early just so he could be away from this blasted school and all of the trouble and torment it provided him.

His night with LeBeau had even made it worse. Luca knew he was getting in over her as well but he liked her more than he had liked anyone in a long time. It took a lot for Luca to actually showed he cared for someone and damn Orion had picked up on it like the little prick he was. He could not afford to make more mistakes like he had made sense the beginning of the school year. Unlike his brother he did not have the gumption to just blow every thing off like he did.

Growing even more frustrated he continued to pound the drumset like his life depended on it. Well until the firey witch stormed into the room and stole his sticks. Damn her and damn himself for forgetting to lock the door. He couldn't hex her, he didn't have it in him. After all it was his fault she was able to get in any how. Luca should have known better than to hope that she would turn and leave and as she stood there with her eyes flashing he struggled to come up with an answer that wouldn't leave him looking like a complete moron.

Crossing his arms over his chest he leaned back on the stool watching her warily, he could see the hurt in her eyes and he cursed himself for making her feel that way. This was all his fault, he should have never offered to show her in the first place and now he looked like a giant arse hole because he had been blowing her off before he got in even more over his head with her.

"I've been busy Riddle, you know with assignments and such. That happens when you are a seventh year. The professors really lay on the assignments. All my free time has been spent trying to keep my head above water," he lied fluidly, the tone of his voice never changing.

It could hot have been further from the truth though. He had barely studied and had been spending all his time in various parts of the castle just trying to avoid her. The studying bit almost sounded like him though, as he was known to be more conscious of his studies than Leyton.

"Sure I should have let you know I wasn't able to make it last week but it slipped my mind. I've had a ton of other things to worry about. Like my brother, who is currently dating your ex."

Sure that was a low blow but he was pissed that he even had to admit such a shameful thing. It would be a miracle if the Dark Lord did not kill them all for that alone.

(ugh this took forever...Sorry)

Skyler couldn't shake the feeling that he was lying to her, even if she couldn't very well prove it. For all she really knew, he really could have just been caught up in the schoolwork and things that their professors were piling high on them. Even the brunette was beginning to drown in her own mountain of school work, and she was only fifth year. The teen could imagine just how much the seventh year was getting.

Her body relaxed just a bit further, and the fire in her eyes receded just a tad, but even so, the Slytherin could not help but think he was lying to her. Because if it had simply been school work that had him forgetting, why had he been no where to be seen in the past week? Not in the common room, not in the library, not even in his dorm, because yes, she had checked there.

Not to mention the chase through the damn castle they had just had. If he wasn't avoiding her, then why hadn't he stopped when she called to him? There were enough holes in his excuse to make it Swiss cheese in a sandwich, which meant that ultimately, her look turned doubtful, and slightly suspicious. Within moments the teen was outright glaring at him in both hurt and anger.

Where had the boy that had seemed so open and honest with her before gone? He seemed worlds apart from the one who looked at her now, with his arms crossed over his chest and lying defiantly through his teeth. Sky didn't really want to fight with Luca, but she wouldn't pretend that it didn't matter that he was lying, when she had never given him any cause to.

The brunette took a calming breath before she slowly approached him, standing on the opposite side of the drum set that he sat behind. Her eyes were raging fires of violet, as he pushed his luck by bringing up Leyton and Draco. That shipped had sailed, and Sky had already chosen to support the pair. But it didn't mean it didn't still sting when it was thrown in her face the way Luca did. "If you want to lie about it then fine. Just know that I do know you're lying. And I don't see what Draco and Leyton have to do with this. So why don't you try the truth before i shove one of these sticks up your nose and into your brain."

[Don't be sorry. This took me forever too and it sucks balls.]

Luca knew that there were flaws in what he was telling the girl but it really didn't matter.  Not now anyway.  He was trying to back pedal himself out of the situation he had gotten into.  She had seen way too much and it seemed now the only way to fix it was to make her hate him.  It sucked but it was better for everyone involved that way.

Continuing to glare across the drum set at her and the drumsticks in her hand he shrugged. "It doesn't matter what they have to do with anything.  They are my family to deal with, not yours and I don't need to talk about it with you or anyone else for that matter." Pushing up out of the chair he started around the set and towards the door to grab his shoes.

"Last time I checked I didn't have to explain myself to you or anyone else in this damn castle." Slipping his shoes on angrily he tried to keep up the facade. "Find someone else to teach you how to play because I'm out of here."  Turning away he pulled open the door and was into the hallway before she could say anything else to him.  If he could get back to the common room and to the dorms he could shut her out for at least the rest of the night.
