Theresa pulled a face as her eyes flickered open. The ceiling of the Hospital Wing was the first thing she saw before she looked around. Frowning, she wondered what had happened to the Potions classroom. As she sat up from her place on the white sheets, the Ravenclaw sighed. It wasn’t the first time that she had fainted when confronted with blood, but it was the first time that she’d attempted to use the dark sticky liquid in a Potion.

Noticing a glass of water on the bedside table, she quickly had a drink from it before returning it to its position. The girl glanced around again, wondering where the nurse was. When she couldn’t see the healer, she frowned and called out, “Hello?” Pushing back the crisp, white sheet the girl turned to sit and carefully stood up. Theresa walked down the aisle between the rows of beds, and called out again, “Can I leave now?

10 points to Miss Theresa Rhodes for an excellent starter and for being above the minimum word count (This post was at 160, so just make sure you keep an eye on that and don't fall below 150). Good job. Keep it up. Please continue posting as usual .

Bloody hell, no wonder they were always telling them not to run in the corridors. Dangerous it was. Of course, Acelynn had had a lot of accidents before, thanks to the fact that the Hufflepuff was a walking catastrophe at the best of times. But even she hadn't expected what had happened, and what had her heading to the hospital wing.

It all started out innocently enough. The teen had been trying to get to class on time. Which wasn't helped by the fact that she had woken late to begin with. Then there was the fiasco with her shoes, and her trying to find the things. Now somehow the redhead had misplaced a few of them, and had resorted to wearing one shoe each from two different pairs. Wasn't too bad in her opinion. It wasn't like people actually looked at her feet anyways, right?

Besides, atleast she wore shoes, and not those sandal things that Flops wore. The redhead would never understand how the older boy got around in those things. They just screamed 'give me a flat tire', something which Ace had done a good few times and which always seemed to end worse for her than it did for him. She still couldn't figure out how or why that was either.

Anyways, there she was racing down the corridors trying to get to her Potions class when all of a sudden WHAM! Someone had opened a door at the perfect time to have her running face first into it. "And down goes McGregor." The Hufflpuff had groaned audibly, and rather humorously from her place on the stone floor, where she had fallen after her untimely smack into the door. Of course, it had taken her a minute to shake herself from the dazed sort of stupor the hit had left her in, in which she had been seeing birds flying in circles around her head.

It wasn't long after that that the redhead noticed the warm blood flowing down her face and the pain that told her it was most likely from her now broken nose. Oh bugger. Now how the hell was she supposed to get that fixed? She couldn't go to Felicity. The older girl was likely in class after all. Realizing her only option was to get the school nurse to patch her up this time, Acelynn pulled the sleeve of her robes over her hand and up to her nose after wiping what she could of the blood away. Bloody sacs and balls. If she kept running into things with her face her nose was going to end up looking like Dumbledore's.

After reassuring the person who had opened the door that she was fine and that it happened all the time, Ace trudged her way up to the hospital wing, trying to think of a good story to tell Pomfrey. For some reason, the bloody woman never believed her when she told the truth, saying the reasons Acelynn gave for her injuries were just too outrageously stupid to be honest. If she were anyone else, the redhead might agree.

"Oi!! Madame!! Your favorite patient is heeeeere!!" Ace called out as she entered the infirmary, her voice a bit nasally thanks to her newly broken nose. The teen snorted in reflex to the other girl's who was there question about leaving, and ended up receiving a sharp pain because of it. "Bloody hell and hounds that hurts!! Don't ever snort with a broken nose. It's worse than getting a paper cut on your eyelid. And don't ya go asking how I know that either. Ya might think I'm crazy if I told ya that story."

Ace told the other girl with a slight nod of her head and a lopsided grin that was partially concealed due to her arm blocking half her face. The Hufflepuff took a seat on one of the available beds as if she had done it a million times before, which she had. "What ya in for then?" She questioned the her company as she waited for that slowpoke of a nurse to come heal her nose.

Theresa started when she heard somebody call out. The girl that had entered the room was holding her face, and the Ravenclaw couldn’t help but notice her pretty red hair. She’d always loved red hair, and wished that she had it. Unfortunately, she had blonde hair and her parents wouldn’t let her change that. Her eyes widened as she thought about how on earth the other girl had ended up with a cut on her eyelid. That sounded horrible. “What did you do to yourself?” Theresa asked, unsure if she would get an answer.

She was about to offer her assistance when her nose caught the metallic scent of blood and she saw a tiny droplet slide below the red head’s arm. Feeling her stomach churn all over again, she took a few steps back and sipped from the glass of water again. That usually helped. Theresa couldn’t help the laugh that escaped her lips as she nodded pointedly, “Funnily enough, it’s because I fainted in Potions. We had to use blood.” Her cheeks flushed lightly, and she shook her head, pulling a slight face. “Every single time, I end up either sick or passed out. It’s incredibly frustrating, but it’s not that common to encounter that horrible, sticky liquid.

(OOC: I feel terrible! I'm so sorry about the wait and the length.)

Acelynn had to work not to snort again at the other girl, who she vaguely remembered from classes as a Ravenclaw. The name escaped her though, as unfortunately, with her extremely short attention span it was lucky enough she remembered what class she was even in, much less everyone's name. Wasn't anything personal, it was just that the Hufflepuff was either not paying attention or focusing hard on focusing, making it difficult to focus on anything else. Either way, she had to put decent effort into not snorting so as not to press her luck with the pain in her face.

Oddly enough, it wasn't so bad, so either she was building up a high tolerance to pain or she was just getting used to breaking her nose. Though if that nurse didn't hurry it on up she might die of blood loss. What a bloody way to go. Literally. Ironic too. Bleeding to death waiting for a nurse in a hospital wing. Giving her head a slight shake and wincing a bit, Ace went ahead and looked at the Ravenclaw like she had three heads or something.

"Oi! I didn't break my own beak. What kinda loon does that? Not this loon, I tell ya. Door did it. Bloody smacked me right in the face as I was running through the dungeons. Wait til Pomfrey hears 'bout it. Never believes a word I say that one, I tell ya. Ya would think I would come up with a better story if I was lyin wouldn't ya? I mean, who wants to admit they lost a fight to a door, ya know?"

The redhead rambled, looking at the other girl with an exasperated expression on her face that matched her tone. It was rather humorous really, what with that fact that she was clutching a broken nose, talking about how she lost a fight with a door and the nurse wouldn't believe a word of it. Who would? The entire idea was rather ludicrous, but if one knew Ace, it was definitely within the bounds of things that happened around her.

"So we're using blood in potions eh? Should've just went to class then instead of coming here. Coulda made 'bout twelve potions with the amount I've lost probably." The Hufflepuff joked with the other girl, cocking her head to the side a bit, doing her best not to let any blood flow free that the girl could see so that she didn't feint or hurl up her food or something. "So ya squeamish 'round blood eh? Can't say I am. I usually end up bleeding 'round the castle in one way or the other. Or with somethin' broken. Bit accident prone, ya see."

Ace rambled on, scooting back along the bed and swinging her legs up on top of the pristine white sheets and blankets, putting her mismatched shoes in full view as she made herself more comfortable. "Whelp. Looks like we're in here for the long haul. Ya might as well get comfy. Ya probably don't want to be getting back to class if there's going to be blood everywhere anyways. Or maybe ya do. Might help ya build a tolerance or somethin'."

[No worries at all! Post is great, and please, take your time. I have more than enough charries to fill mine lol]
